HERE WE GO...

Here we go... my first ever post, so please bare with me whilst I get used to this writing malarky! It's been a while since I have (metaphorically) put pen to paper that wasn't writing down a trial code, trial assessment or presentation about how trials are going. You get the gist, I've been carrying out a lot of trials recently! Now dont get me wrong, trials are a part of my job that I love. It's just my literary skills aren't overly exercised, so I might be a bit rusty.

For those of you that know me or have read "about me" I recently made the decision to leave my job and go travelling. Whilst abroad I plan to sample the local cuisine and in particular go in search of food that is more unusual or quirky than your average snack or meal. Who knows, I may stumble across the next big thing in food. But whatever I do, I endeavour to learn as much as possible and have a great time doing it. Hopefully I can share this experience with you.

As well as the tintilating taste adventure, I plan to feed my other senses also. Therefore don't be surprised to see intermittent posts about my location and non-food related antics.

Still, I have a few weeks left before I set off into the unknown (unknown to me anyway) so what better way to get a head start on my new project than by reviewing a few of the more interesting goodies available in the UK and Ireland. Stay tuned.
